Build Your Dreams — known as BYD — a Chinese-owned company downtown that makes electric vehicles is being accused by Jobs to Move America, a coalition of labor and groups, of violating its agreement with the city, the Los Angeles Times reports. The organization claims the company failed to pay a living wage to its employees. The city gave $1.6 million to BYD five years ago in an effort to create new jobs and green technology.
