Santa Monica’s TrueCar, an online automotive marketplace, is partnering with Farmers Insurance to create a car-buying service for the insurer’s customers.
Farmers’ 20 million policy holders will now have access to TrueCar’s network of 8,000 certified dealers that offer shoppers information about how much people have paid for new and used cars on their lots. Many dealers also guarantee savings off of suggested manufacturer pricing.
The new Farmers Car Buying Service will be accessible to the insurer’s customers on its website.
TrueCar has partnered with Allstate, Progressive and Geico on similar auto-buying programs.
