Los Angeles e-commerce company Shopzilla Inc. announced Wednesday it had acquired Ventura automated media buying firm Connexity.
Connexity’s platform will be integrated into Shopzilla’s Aisle A division, which helps create audience profiles for potential advertisers. Connexity has been working with Aisle A for the past year.
Craig Teich, senior vice president and general manager of Aisle A, said the platform would allow Shopzilla to track trends in its network of consumers and “see what they are shopping for.”
“Connexity allows us to reach them and deliver targeted messages,” he said.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
