A Santa Monica prop house is relocating to the Burbank Airport Commerce Center.

Omega Cinema Props has signed a 10-year lease for 46,000 square feet of industrial space at 7545 N. San Fernando Road. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Omega, founded in 1968, makes props for film, television and commercial production, including furniture, lighting, rugs and other items in all periods and styles.

The company will relocate May 1 as it both expands and moves closer to industry clients and competitors in the Burbank area, said David Young, senior vice president at the Encino office of NAI Capital Inc., who represented the landlord, a private investor.

“They needed to be in close proximity to other related businesses in the entertainment industry, and their customer base,” Young said.

The building, constructed in 2006, has an interior height of 24 feet, about 5,000 square feet of offices and more than 90 parking spaces.

Chad Gahr, a senior vice president at the Encino office of NAI Capital, also represented the landlord.
