Expanded Pawprint: Pussy & Pooch, a downtown L.A. retailer providing food and pet care services, has opened a shop in the Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach. The new location is at 4818 E. Second St., and features Pussy & Pooch’s signature Pawbar, a food counter with seats for dogs and cats.

Public Securities: Kurtzman Carson Consultants LLC, an El Segundo consultancy for businesses undergoing corporate restructuring, has expanded into public securities services. The new service, led by David M. Sharp and David Hartie, will help clients communicate with public securities holders during the restructuring process.

GARDENA

Locked Up: Columbia Manufacturing Corp., a screen and door maker, has leased 110,000 square feet of space in Gardena in a five-year deal valued at about $2.5 million. The property, at 1639 W. Rosecrans Ave., includes two industrial buildings and was built in 1969. The landlord’s name wasn’t disclosed.

GLENDALE

Leased Up: MyShape Inc., an online women’s clothing retailer, has signed a two-year lease with Crown Realty & Development for space in Glendale. The retailer will move its corporate office from Glendale and occupy the entire building at 210 W. Lexington Drive. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SANTA MONICA

Staying Put: Guthy-Renker LLC has signed a lease renewal for Santa Monica office space with Equity Office Properties. The $14 million deal covers a total of 70,000 square feet at 3340 Ocean Park Blvd.

Taken Into Account: Gumbiner Savett Inc., a Santa Monica accounting services firm, was named an “All-Star” firm in the September issue of Inside Public Accounting, an accounting industry magazine. Gumbiner Savett was honored for its extended education opportunities and average length of employment.

New Clients: Nicole Myden Public Relations in Brentwood has added two clients: LuxLash, a skin care spa in Beverly Hills, and BloumeBaby.com, an eco-conscious baby products retailer.

Industrial Acquisition: Rexford Industrial LLC has purchased a Downey industrial building for $9.9 million from an undisclosed buyer. The 45-unit, 174,380-square-foot property, at 9220 Hall Road, is on a 7.1-acre lot.

Laying Groundwork: City of Industry carpet maker Bentley Prince Street Inc. has received the Foundation Trustees Award from the International Facility Management Association. The company was honored for its work in promoting the programs of the Houston-based association.

Multifamily Pickup: The Hogan Group Inc. has purchased a downtown L.A. property for $1.4 million from P.I. Properties. The 30-unit apartment building is at 1628 W. 12th St.

Deal Engineered: Aecom Technology Corp., a downtown L.A.-based engineering firm, has acquired Minneapolis-based architecture and engineering firm Ellerbe Becket. Ellerbe Becket has 450 employees at seven offices in the United States and Middle East. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
