Broader Focus: McFeedia, a Burbank video discovery site that allows people to learn what videos are popular on their social networking sites, has added two content partners, Venice’s MovieClips and New York’s AnyClip. The partnership will give McFeedia viewers access to movie clips on MovieClips’ and AnyClip’s sites. McFeedia also offers a platform geared toward content providers that can deliver video applications to smartphones and tablets.

Funding Round: Wallaby Financial Inc., a Pasadena digital wallet and credit card company, has raised $1.1 million in a funding round. Primary investors were San Francisco’s Founders Fund Angel LLC and Beijing’s WI Harper Group Inc. Wallaby makes a credit card that holds a person’s other credit card information. Wallaby’s service keeps track of the credit cards’ bonuses and benefits, and selects the card that would provide the most benefit when a user performs a financial transaction.

Fuller Plate: Lenny Bent, owner of Sylmar TV-film production catering business Cookin’ With Lenny, has opened a sit-down restaurant in Chatsworth. His Cookin’ With Lenny Smokehouse, at 23360 Lake Manor Drive, focuses on Southwestern, Cajun and American dishes.

Executive Expansion: Korn/Ferry International, a Century City-based executive search firm, has acquired Global Novations LLC, a Boston-based executive search firm and management consultancy. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

TORRANCE

Game On: Team Sports Superstore, Torrance parent of volleyball apparel brand Smack Sportwear, has announced a partnership with La Canada-Flintridge sporting goods chain Sport Chalet. Sport Chalet’s team sales division, which sells apparel to schools, clubs and institutions, will sell Smack items to its customers.

Acquisition Integration: Phenomenex Inc., a Torrance maker of components for machines that can analyze chemical elements, has announced the integration of acquisition of Wibby Environmental, a Golden, Colo., a company that does testing services for environmental labs. Wibby was renamed Phenova as part of the integration.
