THE MONEY: In December, Pritzker family concluded 10-year project to break up family fortune, resulting in big payouts for 11 cousins, including Anthony. In February, the family sold off its last big asset, 49 percent stake in credit bureau TransUnion, for more than $1.5 billion.

BUZZ: Anthony and brother J.B. run Pritzker Group, family private-equity firm that has been aggressively acquiring companies. Signed up as a top fundraiser for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney even though sister Penny was finance chair of President Obama’s campaign in 2008. Family dynasty started a century ago when grandfather bought distressed real estate in Chicago; later, sons started Marmon Group to turn around companies. From a single hotel near Los Angeles International Airport, the family also built Hyatt chain. Internal bickering and litigation resulted in breakup, including the $7.5 billion sale of Marmon to Berkshire Hathaway. Locally, Anthony serves on boards of Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Rand Corp. and UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. Recently finished construction of a 49,300-square-foot home in Bel Air with a bowling alley and gym. Married with four children.
