Gores Announces Two Acquisitions

Gores Group on Monday said that an affiliate has agreed to acquire video technology company Harris Broadcast Communications for $225 million.

Harris Broadcast is an Englewood, Colo. supplier of hardware and software that creates, distributes and monetizes video content. It is owned by Harris Corp. of Melbourne, Fla.

Ryan Wald, managing director of the Westwood private equity firm led by billionaire Alec Gores said Harris is a “proven technology leader.” The Gores affiliate making the acquisition was not identified.

Also on Monday, Clark Group Inc., a Gores-owned logistics services provider for the print media, completed acquisition of Preprint Logistics Management, a Bloomfield, Conn. logistics provider for retailers, commercial printers and direct mailers. Clark Group is based in Trenton, N.J.

Terms of the deal, which was led by the Gores Small Capitalization Fund Group, were not disclosed.
