BUZZ: Perenchio’s penchant for shunning public appearances continues in retirement. Let wallet do talking by giving $1 million for Proposition 14, former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s open-ballot initiative, and $250,000 to help Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa reform LAUSD board. Legacy Park in Malibu, built on land Perenchio sold to city for $25 million in 2005, opened in October. Owns significant real estate in beach city. Started as studio executive at MCA before becoming talent agent for Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor, who died in March. Partnered with sitcom king Norman Lear to buy Embassy Pictures in 1981.
