Aecom Technology Corp. on Monday said that it has added to its presence in Asia with the acquisition of Spectral Services Consultants, a building services consultancy based in Noida, India.

The Los Angeles professional and technical management services company said that Spectral is the Indian market leader in advising clients that want to minimize their environmental footprint. It was founded in 1980 and employs 500 people.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed but Aecom said that on a GAAP basis, it’s expected to be neutral to earnings per share in fiscal 2011, and accretive by fiscal 2012.

“The addition of Spectral to the Aecom family advances our Asian strategy and demonstrates our commitment to investing in emerging geographies,” Chief Executive John M. Dionisio said in a statement. “Its prominence in the hotel, leisure and commercial office sectors, as well as its growing reputation in the health care facilities arena, will complement Aecom’s offerings across India and Asia.”

Shares were down 5 cents, or less than 1 percent, to $27.21 in midday trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
