Top 40 station KIIS-FM (102.7) has maintained its domination of L.A.’s radio charts. The Clear Channel Communications station claimed a 6 percent share of listeners in September’s Arbitron rankings, its ninth month in a row at the top.

But KIIS has seen a decline in listenership in the last two months. It reached its highest level in July with a 6.7 percent share, but sunk to a 6.3 percent share in August, according to the ratings released this week.

In second place was classic hits station KRTH-FM (101.1) with a 4.8 percent share, up from 4.7 in August.

Third place adult contemporary station KOST-FM (103.5) jumped from fourth place in August. It claimed a 4.3 percent share of listeners, its highest numbers in five months.

In fourth place, KAMP-FM (97.1) had a 4.1 percent share, down one-tenth of a point since August, when it was in third place.

In fifth place was talk radio station KFI-AM (640) with a 4 percent share, up from 3.9 in August.
