Software developer MarketShare Partners late Wednesday said that it acquired JovianDATA, a developer of marketing business intelligence and data analytics software.
The Los Angeles developer of software used to optimize advertising, marketing, and promotions spending by companies, said the San Jose acquisition provides the company with technology that will enable it handle and analyze larger volumes of data at much greater speed.
“Today’s marketers are becoming increasingly sophisticated about how they measure ROI and allocate their total marketing and promotional activities, and they want to optimize that using real-time analytics,” said Chief Executive Wes Nichols in a statement.
Financial terms were not disclosed. JovianDATA’s employees in San Jose and Bangalore, India, will join MarketShare Partners.
Privately held MarketShare Partners is backed by Elevation Partners of Menlo Park.
