Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. said Tuesday that it won a contract to manage the rebuilding of San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center and a separate deal to provide engineering services to Manchester Airports Group in the United Kingdom

The Pasadena contactor will manage the $887 million construction job that will replace San Francisco General with a building that meets state seismic laws. The new hospital, which will be paid for with a bond issue, is expected to open in 2015.

Under Jacobs’ five-year deal with Manchester Airports, the U.K.’s second-largest airport operator, the company will provide engineering services for both airport facilities and non airport-related developments.

Shares were down 55 cents, or 1 percent, to $43.43 in midday trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
