LeisureLink Inc, which sells revenue management software to vacation timeshares and other specialty lodging companies, said Wednesday that it closed the first tranche of a $6.2 million equity investment round, led by two Southern California venture firms.

The Pasadena company said the investments will help it keep up with higher demand for its products, which include programs that help timeshare operators more efficiently keep track of rentals.

“Specialty lodging suppliers need new sources of revenue quickly in this difficult economic environment, and it is critical that we maintain our ability to have new properties up and running in time for their peak seasons,” said Chief Executive Erik Hovanec in a statement.

The round was led by Mission Ventures, which has offices in San Diego and Santa Monica, and Clearstone Venture Partners which has offices in Santa Monica and Menlo Park.
