Northrop Grumman Corp. said Monday that it received a contract from Doosan DST Co., a Korean military contractor, to supply navigation units for South Korea’s new K21 infantry fighting vehicle.

The Los Angeles aerospace contractor said the navigation units will be built by Northrop’s German navigation systems subsidiary. The units use inertial sensors, an odometer and GPS data to provide more accurate three-dimensional navigation data.

In a separate announcement, Northrop said it received an initial three-year outsourcing contract from SRS Real Estate Partners in Addison, Texas to provide information technology services.

Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed

Northrop shares closed up $2.56, or nearly 7 percent, to $40.88 on the New York Stock Exchange.
