Footwear maker Skechers USA said Tuesday it has reached a licensing agreement with Adjmi Apparel Group in which Adjmi will design a Skechers-branded children’s clothing line that is to launch in the fall.

The clothing line is envisioned as being sold by the same department, specialty and online retailers that carry Skechers Kids footwear, Manhattan Beach-based Skechers said in a statement.

New York City-based Adjmi will design, distribute and market Skechers apparel for boys 12 months through size 7, and girls in 12 months through size 16.

“The demand for Skechers Kids footwear is ever growing, and developing cool apparel will create a head-to-toe Skechers experience,” President Michael Greenberg said in a statement.

Skechers shares closed down 15 cents, or less than 1 percent, $12.07 on the New York Stock Exchange.
