Jacobs Wins Contracts

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. on Tuesday announced a trio of contracts, one of which was valued at $18 million.

The Pasadena engineering company said it received a contract from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission to provide construction management services for the Bay Tunnel Project. That is a $270 million water supply project in the San Francisco Bay area, of which Jacobs’ contract comprises $18 million.

The Bay Tunnel Project calls for construction of about five miles of nine-foot-diameter soft ground tunnel below the bay.

Separately, Jacobs did not disclose the contract value of two other contracts, one of which is to provide professional services relating to water infrastructure projects with the Polk County Utilities in Florida. Jacobs received a similar contract from the county for transportation services in 2005.
