Shares in all natural beverage maker Reed’s Inc. shot up nearly 15 percent early Thursday after the company said it has expanded its agreement with Ralphs supermarket chain.

Ralphs, a division of Cincinnati-based Kroger and the largest supermarket chain in Southern California, will carry Reed’s full product line in all its 215 locations. The chain currently carries a small selection of the company’s all-natural drinks.

Also, Reed’s said its products will be featured in television commercials airing in Southern California for Ralphs as part of Ralphs’ Optimum Wellness program.

Christopher Reed, founder and chief executive of the Los Angeles-based company, said: “As a leading retailer of natural and organic products across California, Ralphs represents a significant opportunity to increase brand awareness in one of the largest supermarket grocery chains in the country.”

Shares in Reed’s were up to $2.30 in early trading.
