J2 Global Communications Inc. said Wednesday that it bought undisclosed assets of Mediaburst Ltd. a United Kingdom-based provider of digital faxing services.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed but Los Angeles-based J2 said it does not expect the deal to have any material financial impact.

J2 provides digital faxes and messages for businesses. In December, J2 purchased Norcross, GA-based business-to-business e-commerce services provider RapidFax for an undisclosed sum.

Shares in J2 were up 19 cents to $26.71 in early trading Wednesday.
