Northrop Grumman was among 12 companies selected by the U.S. Air Force to provide maintenance and repair services valued at as much as $10 billion.

The companies will “support war readiness” for the Air Force and other branches of the U.S. military around the world, the U.S. Defense Department said Tuesday.

The exact value of the work for each company will be determined by orders to be issued later, the Defense Department said. Northrop makes the Air Force’s B-2 Spirit stealth bomber and the Global Hawk unmanned spy plane.

The awards are part of the Air Force’s Contract Field Teams program, which supports depots for the Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command, Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard.

Northrop shares were up 12 cents, or less than 1 percent to $65.27.
