Jacobs Inks Army Deal

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. said Tuesday that it was awarded a weapons systems support contract from the U.S. Army valued at as much as $492 million.


The contract is for test and evaluation of weapons systems and equipment at the Army’s Aberdeen Test Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. The contract is for one year, with four one-year options. The Pasadena-based company has provided the same support on a previous contract since 2001.


Shares in Jacobs fell 5.6 percent to $84.41 in afternoon trading Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange.
