Diodes Inc. reported that fourth-quarter profit rose in part to increased margins.
Diodes reported net income of $18.3 million (43 cents per share), an 18 percent increase compared to $14.7 million (35 cents) from the same period a year earlier.
Sales for the Woodland Hills-based maker of electronic components rose 14 percent to $108 million.
The company credited the boost in profit to a jump in gross margins which expanded 1.1 percent across the board.
Shares in Diodes closed up 5.7 percent to $24.59 in trading Wednesday on the Nasdaq.
