MRV Communications said that it has requested a hearing with Nasdaq officials to prevent delisting of its stock, which it is being threatened with because of a failure to file its quarterly financial report.
The Chatsworth-based supplier of optical equipment and network services said earlier this month that it would not meet an Aug. 11 deadline to file a report for the quarter ended June 30 due to an ongoing review by a board committee over its stock option practices.
It has requested a hearing before the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel, which will enable the company to continue trading on the exchange until the panel makes a decision.
MRV shares closed down 1 cent to $1.43 on Tuesday.
