RadNet Inc. said Wednesday that it has acquired Valley Imaging Center Inc. and its three imaging centers for $3.3 million plus the assumption of approximately $1.2 million of debt.

The imaging centers, located in Victorville, will bolster RadNet’s presence in this expanding market, the company said. They currently operate one center in the area.

This is the second acquisition this year by the Los Angeles-based diagnostic imaging service provider. In May, RadNet bought Rochester-based Borg Imaging Group for $12 million in cash, including $1 million in debt.

Shares in RadNet lost 5 cents, to $9.36 in trading Wednesday on the Nasdaq.
