Shares of U.S. Auto Parts Network Inc. jumped more than 10 percent Friday after the company reported better-than-expected first quarter earnings and reaffirmed its annual earnings forecast.

The Carson-based online auto parts seller reported net income of $235,000 (1 cent per share), a 91 percent decline from $2.7 million in the same quarter last year but enough to beat Wall Street estimates of a breakeven quarter. Revenues were up 140 percent to $43.7 million.

The company also reaffirmed that it expects 2007 earnings in the range of $170 million to $185 million, or 5 cents to 17 cents per share.

U.S. Auto Parts went public on Feb. 9 and its shares have traded for as much as $12.61, but they tumbled to a low of $5.07 after the company in March said it may post a first-quarter loss.

Share of the company closed up 67 cents to $6.57 in trading Friday on the Nasdaq.
