Calabasas Company Receives Funding

Emergent Game Technologies said it has received $12 million in funding from six firms.


The funding for the Calabasas-based video game software company comes from Jerusalem Venture Partners, Worldview Technology Partners, Adena Ventures, Walker Ventures, Copan and Cisco Systems.


“Emergent delivers what game developers and publishers need most: scalable, modular development solutions that allow them to minimize their financial risk while unleashing their creativity to make great games,” Gadi Tirosh, General Partner at Jerusalem Venture Partners, said in a statement.


The company also announced several organizational changes, include the promotion of Scott Johnson to president, and John Goodale as vice president of marketing and business development. Lisa Wenninger will become vice president of product management, and David Gregory is now vice president of engineering and systems architect.
