Diodes Inc. reported fourth quarter net income of $14.7 million (53 cents per share), up 47 percent from $10 million (36 cents per share), for the same period a year earlier.

Revenue for the Westlake Village maker of electronic components was up 60 percent to $343.3 million, marking the company’s seventh consecutive quarter of record profits, the company said in a statement.

The company credited the acquisitions of Anachip Corp. and APD Semiconductor last year for some of the growth. It also pointed to strong demand for chips used in computers, consumer electronics and telecommunications equipment.

Shares in Diodes were down 2.7 percent ($1.01) to $36.54 in midday trading Wednesday.
