Computer Sciences Corp. said it has been awarded a contact to provide systems engineering and integration support to the Defense Department’s Missile Defense Agency.

The El Segundo-based provider of information technology services, which will announced fourth quarter earnings after the market closes Tuesday, said it estimates the value of the contract, which has a one-year base period and four one-year options, to be $151 million if all options are exercised. The contract follows an agreement the company signed with the missile agency in 2002.

Computer Sciences earlier announced a five-year, $5.9 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security. Under the contract, Computer Sciences will digitize 55 million paper files for the U.S. Citizens and Immigration Services, a unit within Homeland Security.

The new automated system will provide personnel at the agency access to files of immigrants’ applications for U.S. citizenship.
