Tetra Tech Buys Green Power Firm

In a bid to increase its wind energy project services, L.A. engineering consulting firm Tetra Tech Inc. has acquired Delaney Group. Terms of the buyout were not disclosed.


New York-based Delaney Group specializes in planning and developing wind energy sites, as well as for military base realignment and closures and water treatment facilities. Delaney Group had $60 million in revenues last year.


Delaney has worked on several major wind energy development projects, including the Maple Ridge Wind Farm in New York, the largest east of the Mississippi River.


Shares in Tetra Tech were up 29 cents, or 1.4 percent, to $20.39 in afternoon trading Tuesday on the Nasdaq.
