MySpace.com said Friday that it has teamed up with Twentieth Century Fox to launch MySpace’s first international film screening event.

The event, named Black Carpet, will begin Sept. 20 and MySpace users from six different countries will have the opportunity to attend an exclusive screening of the new Fox comedy “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. The movie opens Nov. 3 and will be the first screening of the series, the Santa Monica based company said.

“International expansion is one of the most important initiatives for the company and the Black Carpet series illustrates our response to users demanding local and relevant events in their market,” said Travis Katz, a spokesman for MySpace.

This event will mark the first time MySpace’s global users will all have simultaneous access to an exclusive event hosted only by the Web site.
