Beverly Hills-based Hilton Hotels Corp. on Thursday said it had agreed to sell two of its U.K. properties, the Hilton London Metropole and Hilton Birmingham Metropole, for $780 million to reduce debt.

The new owner, the Wojakovski family, purchased the hotels under the Edward Wojakovski’s Tonstate Group.

Hilton acquired both hotels when it bought U.K.-based Hilton Group Plc in February. The London Metropole has 1,054 rooms and the Birmingham Metropole has 794 rooms. Hilton Hotels Corp. will continue to manage the hotels under contract. The Wojakovski family will pay for renovations.

In August, Hilton announced that it would be selling ten of its European hotels and focus on managing and franchising properties.
