Pasadena-based Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. said Thursday that it has acquired engineering consulting firm W.H. Linder & Associates Inc.

Metarie, La.-based Linder is an engineering consulting firm that employs more than 300 people in Metairie and Houston and has more than 25 years of experience in the upstream and offshore oil and gas drilling consulting, Jacobs said.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Shares in Jacobs were 46 cents to $74.85 in early trading Thursday.
