Computer Sciences Corp. said Tuesday that it has signed a seven-year deal with New York-based Newmont Mining Corp. to provided information technology management services to the mining giant.

The deal is for seven years and calls for CSC to manage information technology services for Newmont, one of the world’s largest gold mining companies, and all of its regional mining facilities. The deal is reportedly worth $180 million over the life of the contract.

Shares in CSC were down $1.31 to $50.43 in early trading Tuesday.
