True Religion Apparel Inc. said Monday that it has signed a licensing agreement that will put its brand on footwear, headwear, scarves and gloves.

The Los Angeles-based denim company said it signed an exclusive agreement with Italian licensing company GMI Corp. to sell men’s and women’s shoes as well as sandals in both adult and children’s sizes.

GMI also has a similar agreement with Levi Strauss & Co.’s branded footwear, and said it expects to distribute the True Religion-brand footwear throughout Europe, Asia and the United States.

It will launch the line at the WSA footwear and MAGIC apparel shows in Las Vegas next year and expects to begin shipping to retailers in fall 2007. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but Michael Buckley, True Religion’s president said that the deal should contribute around $9 million to the company’s annual revenues.

Shares in True Religion were down 77 cents to $19.22.
