International Rectifier Corp. said Wednesday that Malvern, Penn-based Vishay Intertechnology Inc. has agreed to buy the El Segundo-based company’s power control systems business for $290 million.

Power control systems has revenues of about $300 million. The cash purchase is expected to close in February.

Shares in International Rectifier rose 51 cents to $36.48 while Vishay shares fell 4 cents to $13.45 in early trading Wednesday.
