Oil Gains Despite Low Supplies

Crude futures rose slightly on Wednesday after U.S. government data showed domestic supplies shrank last week.


Light sweet crude for May delivery rose 6 cents to $62.40 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, though April gasoline futures plunged 6.95 cents to $1.77 a gallon, and this likely held crude’s gains in check.
