Semtech Corp.

, a maker of semiconductors being probed by the Securities and Exchange Commission for possibly backdating executive stock options, reported that it received a grand jury subpoena for documents related to its option practices. The Camarillo company said the subpoena was received Monday from a jury impaneled at the U.S. District Court in New York. Also, the company announced it is the subject of two shareholder lawsuits over its option grants filed in Ventura County Superior Court.


Guess Inc.

, the Los Angeles apparel and accessories company, has found a new chief financial officer after a four-month search. Dennis R. Secor will join the company from Electronic Arts Inc., where he was vice president and chief financial officer of its Canadian division. Guess, which has seen its stock more than double over the past year, has been performing well amid high demand for denim clothing.


First Consulting Group

, has found a new chief executive. Larry R. Ferguson, formerly president of First Data Health Systems Corp., will replace interim chief executive Steven Heck on June 26. In November 2005, Luther J. Nussbaum, who had been chairman and chief executive, left the company. The Long Beach-based company is a provider of outsourcing, consulting and other services in the health care and life sciences sectors.


Hilton Hotels Corp.

announced that Boston’s first skyscraper will be become the Hilton Boston Financial District. The art deco hotel, built in 1928 and located near Faneuil Hall, will contain 362 rooms and be managed by Columbia Sussex Corp. It is owned and operated by W-Boston LLC, a Hilton franchisee.
