Glaxo Beats Forecasts

GlaxoSmithKline Plc beat forecasts for 2005 profit on Wednesday and predicted earnings growth of about 10 percent this year, with momentum building in its well-stocked pipeline of new drugs.


Europe’s biggest drug maker also said it would look at potential acquisitions, which could include Swiss biotech group Serono SA and Pfizer Inc.’s consumer healthcare business, but added it did not need to do any deals.
