Live Nation Inc. said it has hired CB Richard Ellis Group Inc. to explore the possible sale of the Germain Amphitheater in Columbus, Ohio.

The Los Angeles-based concert promoter and venue operator said it hired the El Segundo real estate company to look at options available for selling the 83-acre complex, as well as a separate amphitheater in Indianapolis all part of an effort to divest several properties, the company said in a statement.

“We are continually evaluating our real estate holdings on a national basis and our decision to look at a sale at this time is based on a number of factors,” said Yri Bogler, a spokesman for Live Nation.

Shares in Live Nation were up 64 cents to $22 in early trading Thursday.
