Live Nation said Tuesday that it has purchased the largest concert promoter in Spain and has also entered into an agreement to buy a majority stake in a leading concert promoter in France. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The Los Angeles-based concert promoter and venue owner said it purchased Gamerco along with its affiliates Iguapop, Troubleshooter and Cetisa in a deal expected to close early next year, the Los Angeles-based concert promoter and venue owner said.

The deal also brings the Spanish company’s principles: Gay Mercader, Pino Saggliocco and Roberto Grima to Live Nation. Gamerco produces more than 250 shows a year in Spain.

The purchase of Gamerco also includes a deal that would give Live Nation a controlling stake in France-based affiliate Jackie Lombard Productions, which regularly produces large shows in Paris and throughout France.

Shares in Live Nation were down 18 cents to $21.61 in early trading Tuesday.
