Live Nation Makes Board Posts

Live Nation said Thursday that it has elected Harvey Weinstein and R. Ted Enloe to its board of directors.


Weinstein is the co-chairman and founder of The Weinstein Co. and founder of Miramax films, along with his brother, Bob.


The brothers sold Miramax to Walt Disney Co. in 1993 and remained co-chairs of the company until last year when they started the Weinstein Co.


Enloe is managing partner of Balquita Partners Ltd., a real estate investment partnership, and serves on the boards of Leggett & Platt Inc. and Silicon Laboratories Inc.


Live Nation is based in Beverly Hills and owns and manages more than 170 entertainment venues across the country.


Shares in Live Nation were down 29 cents to $22.33 in trading Thursday.
