Northrop Grumman Corp. said Thursday that it won a contract to upgrade the information technology management and operations systems for the Department of Justice. The contract is for one year with four one-year options and carries a total value of $20 million if all options are exercised.

The work will be conducted out of Northrop’s Information Technology sector in Arlington and will provide IT management, applications, operations and help-desk support for the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division Office.

“This task order allows us to leverage our expertise in information security and IT management for the Justice Department while building upon our long-term partnership with the agency,” said Sid Fuchs, a spokesman for Northrop’s Civilian Agencies group.

Shares in Northrop were down 7 cents to $67.50 in early trading Thursday.
