Lockheed Martin Corp. is part of a group of companies looking to purchase Computer Sciences Corp., The Wall Street Journal reported.
Lockheed is working with private-equity firms including Warburg Pincus LLC, Blackstone Group LP and Texas Pacific Group on a plan to break up CSC, the Journal said. The buyout plans are in the early stages.
Lockheed and the El Segundo-based computer-services company have worked together numerous times over the years, as CSC has been chosen as a subcontractor on many of Lockheed’s programs.
