Johnson & Johnson sued Amgen Inc., claiming that the Thousand Oaks-based biotech giant used its Aranesp anemia drug to drive J & J;’s Procrit from the market, the New York Times reported Thursday.

The suit, filed in federal court in Trenton, N.J., seeks to stop Amgen from bundling Aranesp in ways that would force cancer clinics to stop buying Procrit, the Times reported.
