Oil Falls as Warm Weather Persists

Energy prices continued drifting lower Tuesday as warm weather persisted throughout the Northeast, although expectations for shrinking reserves boosted natural gas futures.


Light sweet crude for January delivery lost 41 cents to $56.95 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. In London, January Brent was down 6 cents at $54.82 per barrel on the ICE Futures exchange, up from a low of $53.92.
