Gas Prices Dropping

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular in the Los Angeles area dropped for the fifth consecutive week, falling 6.8 cents to $2.703 for the week ended Nov. 7, down from $2.771 the previous week. The price remained 34 cents higher than a year ago, according to the Energy Information Administration.


Statewide, prices dipped 8.8 cents, to $2.659 cents. California’s gas prices were higher than any other state’s. The cheapest state for gas prices was Ohio, at $2.151.


Among manor cities, Miami had the highest gas price, at $2.717 and Cleveland had the lowest at $2.161.
