Consumer Confidence Up After Decline

Consumer confidence rebounded in May after a decline in April as worries about the economy and jobs eased, a New York-based private research group said Tuesday.


The Conference Board said that its Consumer Confidence Index rose to 102.2, up from a revised 97.5 in April. The reading was higher than the 96 that analysts had expected.
