Crude oil futures hovered near $49 a barrel Tuesday as traders considered the approach of the U.S. driving season amid expectations of building crude supplies.
Light sweet crude for July edged down 11 cents to $49.05 a barrel in midday trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude fell 12 cents to $48.25 on the International Petroleum Exchange.
