New Feature: Case Study

Los Angeles is the nation’s capital of small businesses, and for all the variations among them from production companies to software houses to clothing designers many of the challenges faced by small business owners are really quite similar.

There are questions of money raising capital, collecting unpaid bills and financing a large new order that will propel the business to the next level. There are operational ones as well: What to do when a key employee is out of work for an extended period? How to handle a thorny ethical matter? How to market your product on a limited budget? Sooner or later, most business owners run into one or more of these issues.

The Business Journal is launching a new feature that explores the way small business owners can navigate the daily obstacle course they encounter.

If you have a small business issue, problem or challenge that you think applies to others as well, please contact the Business Journal at

.

Similarly, if you have an expertise in a particular area that you think could help the Business Journal’s readers, please e-mail as well.

We look forward to hearing from you.
