Oil Prices Up on Refinery Outage News

Oil prices held firm over $52 a barrel on Tuesday after news of a U.S. refinery outage rekindled worries over gasoline supplies this summer driving season.


Light sweet crude for June delivery rose 4 cents to $52.07 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. In London, Brent crude was up 14 cents to $51.43 a barrel.
